Amazon is expanding its wellness program with two recently announced partnerships focused on nutritional therapy and sleep care. The retail giant launched its Health Benefits Connector program in January 2024, aimed at connecting customers with virtual health benefits. Organizations involved in the program include Teladoc, Rula Health, Talkspace, Omada Health, and Hinge Health. The most recent addition is the virtual sleep clinic Dreem Health. Eligible customers can enroll in their care provider’s sleep services, including sleep diagnostics using Sunrise Group’s FDA-approved home sleep tests. In 2026, health system IT leaders are focused on scaling artificial intelligence, moving from pilots and proofs of concept to operationalizing AI, but these efforts face significant barriers. A new study from Qventus found that 74% of health system leaders cite dependence on electronic health record (EHR) vendors as a barrier to implementing their AI strategy.
