Judi Health has partnered with Clear to embed identity verification technology into the Judi enterprise healthcare platform.
In an announcement Thursday morning, the company said it will integrate Clear’s CLEAR1 platform into Judi to help digitize the patient intake process. This technology reduces the need for manual verification, eliminates redundancy, and facilitates the sharing of critical data.

Dr. Sunil Budhrani, Judi Health’s chief strategy and medical officer, said in an interview that a consistent challenge has been transparency and interoperability of patient records. Patients often struggle to access their health data, he said.
“You can check your financial records at any time by inserting your ATM card into the machine,” Budrani said. “You can’t do that in a medical setting.”
Judi is a transparent pharmacy benefits manager Given her background as a Capital Rx, improving transparency and access to data is a key priority. Additionally, the CLEAR1 tool is already deployed by multiple major health systems and Medicare app libraries, making it an easy partner of choice.
Capital Rx announced in September that it would change its brand name to Judi Health, with a focus on continuing to build its technology platform. As we expand Judy’s reach across multiple employer and plan markets, including government programs such as Medicare and Medicaid, we are making security a key priority, as well as creating new processes that are more efficient.
Budrani said the focus on security positions Judy as one of the young PBMs capable of “playing in the Medicare space.”
“The opportunity this company had to build an architecture from the ground up was to make sure it was built securely,” he said. “We have achieved very high standards for compliance with government and non-government initiatives, which puts us in a very unique position with the Judi platform.”
Mr. Clear’s collaboration with Medicare means there is shared rigor on security, he said.
“Over the past eight years, we’ve been very thoughtful about who we partner with, who have the same security standards, the same mission, the same passion, the same importance,” Budrani said.
