Humana has partnered with digital health company b.well Connected Health to give members easy access to their health data across multiple providers, health plans, pharmacies, and digital health apps.

The partnership is in line with the Trump administration’s broader push to give patients easier access to their health information.

As part of the partnership with b.well, Humana will also have real-time access to member data at the point of claims processing, securely respond to data requests from providers and other health plans, and support care coordination and quality improvement, the insurer said in an April 9 press release.

B.well also announced partnerships with Welldoc, a digital cardiometabolic solution, and weight loss app Noom.

Noom is launching a new feature that uses b.well’s health data network to connect users’ health records to the app. The new option integration is now available to Medicare beneficiaries and is designed to further personalize the support Noom provides for weight loss, prediabetes and diabetes, the company said in a press release.

The new Health Record Connect feature allows Medicare members to securely verify their identity and connect their existing clinical health records to the Noom app with explicit consent. Noom then uses that data (diagnosis, medications, test results, etc.) to automatically personalize members’ experiences, showing them the programs, content and tools most relevant to their specific health needs, Noom executives said.

Noom members have access to personalized features and content, including articles updated daily to meet members’ clinical needs as indicated by their medical history. Mini-course on diabetes prevention or management. A comprehensive GLP-1 companion experience for those prescribed GLP-1. The company says it also provides blood sugar insights and tracking for people with type 2 diabetes or at risk for type 2 diabetes.

“One of the biggest barriers to truly personalized healthcare is data silos: patient health records are not easily shared across healthcare providers, health systems, and digital platforms,” Noom CEO Jeff Cook said in a statement. “With this integration, we’re changing that. Medicare members can now connect their medical records to Noom in minutes.”

Both Noom and Welldoc have partnered with CLEAR1, CLEAR’s secure identity platform, to enable secure and compliant identity verification and enable medical record sharing.

The b.well integration will enable Welldoc users with complex conditions such as diabetes and obesity to connect their health information and gain AI-powered personalized insights and data-driven clinical decision support, the company said.

Kevin McRaith, CEO and President of Welldoc, said in a statement: “Our partnership with b.well connects us to a national health data network and leverages a network-of-network approach to ensure the most complete, long-term records across the country. This allows us to activate cardiometabolic solutions with reliable, comprehensive, and available data when patients and clinicians need it most.”

Humana, Welldoc, and Noom announced this integration as part of their commitment to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) HealthTech Ecosystem Initiative, which was rolled out last year.

B.well operates a health data network spanning 2.4 million providers, 350 health plans, and connections to labs, wearables, and other sources. The company uses a 13-step data purification process that normalizes, deduplicates, and enriches fragmented data to create a complete long-term health record.

Under the Trump administration, HHS has strengthened major federal interoperability efforts on several fronts.

As part of this interoperability effort, CMS in July announced a comprehensive health technology initiative aimed at modernizing Medicare and advancing next-generation digital health care for patients, including conversational artificial intelligence, digital identity, and easier ways to access health data.

Since July, more than 700 healthcare organizations have joined the Health Tech Ecosystem Pledge, which is completely voluntary, said Amy Gleason, acting administrator of the U.S. DOGE Service and strategic advisor to CMS, while speaking at the 2026 Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Global Health Conference & Exhibition last month.

CMS has set a March 31st deadline for companies to demonstrate tangible results from the Health Tech Ecosystem Pledge. Gleason said the agency also set another July 4 deadline for organizations to demonstrate more advanced capabilities and workflows.

Health tech companies HealthEx and b.well are moving forward with integration that underpins interoperability efforts that have been rapidly rolled out over the past year.

“Healthcare is moving toward a future where patients can securely access their medical records, understand their data, and instantly share it with trusted tools and providers,” said Kristen Valdez, CEO and founder of b.well Connected Health. “Welldoc has long been a leader in cardiometabolic health technology, and we are pleased to support their platform by providing the connectivity and data infrastructure needed to power a more personalized, AI-driven chronic care experience.”

“Humana is committed to making health care simpler and more connected for our members,” Caraline Coates, Humana’s senior vice president of provider strategy and operations, said in a statement. “We appreciate CMS’ leadership in advancing the health technology ecosystem and creating a clear framework to support its goals. Through our collaboration with b.well, we will improve access to health information, thereby helping to free up time and resources for healthcare providers to focus on delivering care.”

Humana and b.well will demonstrate how the integration can benefit health plan members at today’s event hosted by the federal Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to showcase standards-based live data in a federal interoperability demonstration environment.
