    Imminent threats to health disparities research in NIH grant proposals

    Since the Trump administration announced plans to overhaul the federal grant-making process to give political appointees more power, researchers have expressed concern about the potential impact these changes could have on U.S. science. And there is a specific section of the 412-page proposal in which researchers argue that health disparities could prevent their work from receiving federal funding, a change that poses perhaps the biggest threat yet to the future of the field.
