    AbbVie’s Skyrizi regains top spot in April ad spend rankings

    In March, it lost the top spot to Johnson & Johnson’s immunotherapy drug Tremfya, but AbbVie’s rival drug Skyrizi has regained the top spot in advertising.

    AbbVie spent $46.8 million advertising Skyridi in April, an increase of $4.7 million from the previous month, putting the drug comfortably ahead of Tremfya.

    J&J’s drugs came in second with the biggest spending cut of $10.6 million, according to data shared by iSpot.tv analysts with Fierce Pharma Marketing.

    AbbVie’s other leading immunologist, Rinvoke, held onto third place in April, but in a close race with J&J, Rinvoke’s ad spend was just $200,000 behind Tremfya.

    Eli Lilly increased spending on its obesity drug Zepbound by $1.5 million, pushing the drug up one spot from March to No. 4.

    Up two spots to No. 5 is Sanofi and Regeneron’s immunology blockbuster Dupixent, with most of the $20.4 million spent last month on advertising related to its eczema indication.

    Johnson & Johnson returned to the list with its atypical antipsychotic drug Caprita, but fell two spots to No. 6 as spending fell from $23.4 million in March to $20.2 million in April.

    Lundbeck and Otsuka Pharmaceutical’s depression drug Rexulti came in seventh place, while Eli Lilly and Boehringer Ingelheim’s diabetes and kidney disease drug Jardiance moved from sixth place in March to eighth place due to an $8.2 million drop in spending.

    The final two spots went to AbbVie’s atypical antipsychotic Vreilor (which dropped from the rankings in March but returned to ninth place) and Neurocline’s Ingrezza, which is approved to treat tardive dyskinesia and chorea associated with Huntington’s disease.
