Iconeus, a French neuroimaging company developing functional ultrasound (fUS) solutions for real-time brain activity imaging, today announced the formation of a U.S. corporation, Iconeus Inc. This is an important milestone in supporting the introduction of functional ultrasound in preclinical neuroscience research.
The new U.S. location will enable closer collaboration with U.S. academic institutes, research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and contract research organizations that use advanced imaging to study brain function, neurological diseases, and the development of treatments.
As part of this expansion, Iconeus has appointed Joshua Dufresne, the company’s first U.S.-based team member, as Business Development Manager. He will drive strategic partnerships, identify new market opportunities, and support engagement with neuroscience laboratories, research institutions, and industry partners across North America.
The United States has one of the most active neuroscience research ecosystems in the world, and establishing a local presence will allow us to work directly with research teams and accelerate the adoption of functional ultrasound as a tool to study brain function and evaluate new treatments. ”
Ludovic Lecointre, CEO and Co-Founder of Iconeus
Iconeus’ technology is already deployed at numerous research institutions, including major US universities and national research centers. This expanded installed base highlights the value and adoption of this technology among preclinical neuroscience researchers.
