NoA Health has appointed former Novo Nordisk and Pfizer employee Luisa Li as CEO, putting her in charge of driving the globalization of the creative agency’s business.
Copenhagen-based NoA Health works with Danish biopharmaceutical companies including ALK, Novo Nordisk and Lundbeck. However, the company does a lot of business with pharmaceutical companies based outside its home country, with overseas customers such as Cytiva, GSK, and Otsuka accounting for 60% of its revenue. NoA Health, led by Lee, is ramping up its pursuit of international business.
“We are transitioning from a Nordic-based start-up agency to a growth-oriented international player,” Lee said in a statement. “We already have a strong international footprint, but now we are ready to increase our ambitions even further.”
Mr. Lee co-founded NoA Health in 2019 with Kim Schauman Johansen and Patrick Potosky. Mr. Lee, who previously served as chief commercial officer, replaces Mr. Johansen as CEO of the agency. NoA Health has appointed Chief Commercial Officer Potosky to the role of Executive Director as part of a leadership change. Potosky said NoA Health will strengthen existing relationships and expand services to grow the agency’s scale.
The agency is part of NoA, which says it is the largest network in the Nordic region for marketing, technology and innovation. The network, also known as The North Alliance, employs around 1,200 people in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Poland and includes around 15 participating companies, including NoA Health. NoA said the model allows government agencies to scale globally while complying with drug regulations.
Mr. Lee helped drive NoA’s health expansion with experience working on the company’s first GLP-1 therapy at Pfizer and Novo and leading brand strategy across European affiliates. NoA Health and Novo’s projects include the 2021 World Children’s Day campaign. To raise awareness of Novo’s work with UNICEF, NoA Health has created materials that include a video explaining childhood obesity.
