DNA Script, a programmable biology company developing next-generation enzymatic DNA synthesis (EDS) technology, today announced a new distribution agreement with Imperial Life Sciences (ILS), expanding access to its SYNTAX platform across India. Under the agreement, ILS will distribute DNA Script’s SYNTAX platform nationwide, providing local sales, technical support, and applied expertise to researchers seeking faster and more flexible access to high-quality single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) oligonucleotides.

The agreement with ILS builds on DNA Script’s recent expansion of its global distribution network across Latin America and East Asia and expands the availability of the SYNTAX platform into another important growth market of life sciences research. This partnership supports the company’s strategy to expand the adoption of decentralized on-demand DNA synthesis and enhance access to DNA production capacity in the rapidly growing research ecosystem.

India is one of the world’s fastest growing biotech markets, with growing demand for technologies that accelerate research and reduce dependence on overseas supply chains. With over 30 years of experience supporting India’s research community, ILS brings an established national network across academic institutions, biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical organizations and research institutes.

Oligonucleotides are an essential component of life science research, yet many researchers continue to rely on external suppliers, which can result in delays, slow scientific progress, and extend development timelines. DNA Script’s automated benchtop SYNTAX platform addresses these challenges by enabling researchers to synthesize ssDNA oligonucleotides directly in the lab in just a few hours. Moving DNA production from centralized manufacturing facilities to the bench provides researchers with greater control over workflow, faster turnaround times, and less reliance on complex supply chains.

The SYNTAX platform combines DNA synthesis, purification, and normalization into a single automated workflow, allowing laboratories to generate up to 384 oligonucleotides in parallel and accelerate design-build-test cycles across a wide range of research applications.

India’s life sciences sector is advancing rapidly, and researchers need tools to keep up with the pace. Through our partnership with Imperial Life Sciences, labs across India now have local access to SYNTAX with the speed, quality, and scalability their research demands. Together, we help researchers reduce their dependence on external DNA supply chains and accelerate scientific discovery through on-demand, in-house DNA synthesis. ”

Mark Monserrat, CEO of DNA Script

“We are excited to partner with DNA Script to offer the SYNTAX platform to researchers across India,” said Neeraj Gupta, Director (Sales), Imperial Life Sciences. Combining synthetic technology with our national reach and technical expertise will enable faster and more flexible access to India’s growing genomics, synthetic biology and DNA biotech community.”
